The Bathford Society
This is a copy of the Manor of Forde map of 1605, held at the Taunton Records Office.
The location of the church near the centre gives a reference point relative to the current layout of the area around Church Street, Court Lane and Pump Lane in modern day Bathford. The map has "ORIENS" (East) at the bottom, which implies a rotation of about 90 degrees from geographic North, with the road to "Warley" leading South.
